Welcome
Physics is the study the natural world and as such is the basis for all of the natural sciences. Such diverse phenominon as the behavior of particles in the core of a nucleus, the technology which is allowing you to read this, the flight of a humming bird, the motion of the wind, and the origin and fate of our universe, are all the privy of physics. Gaining an understanding of these vary deverse subjects may sound like a taunting task, but as it turns out all of these are related through a few common concepts and laws. Physisits like to simplifiy information, draw parallels, and find relationships between observations and ideas. As you explore the world of physics for a natural science credit, a major requirement, or as a Physics major, watch for these simplifacations and parallels and you may be surprised how few concepts and laws are really needed to discribe this world we live in.
