Lodging Option #1:  Ashland University College Avenue Apartments

Located at 124 College Avenue in Ashland, the College Avenue Apartments offer self-service lodging at very reasonable rates.  The apartments are located approximately five blocks from Workshop meeting rooms in Amstutz Hall and the Ashland University John C. Myers Convocation Cafeteria.

College Avenue Apartments: 

Each apartment unit has multiple bedrooms and a shared living room, bathroom, dining and kitchen area.  All apartments are non-smoking units.  Some bedrooms are shared (two twin beds), others have one twin bed.

College Avenue Apartments for TALMID א (3 nights):  $126 (3 x $35, plus $21 linen fee)

College Avenue Apartments for TALMID ב (12 nights):  $462 (12 x $35, plus 42 linen fee)

Note:  If you wish to reserve a room in the Ashland University College Avenue Apartments, take these simple steps:

1.       On the registration page, after the question “Would you like to request AU Housing? (College Avenue Apts.), mark “yes.”

2.       Next, indicate whether you prefer a “private bedroom” or “shared bedroom,” or have “no preference.”  Private bedrooms will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

3.       After completing the remaining questions on that page, click “Submit.”

4.       On the next page, under the “TALMID 2018 Registration” dropdown, select the amount that is marked “(Registration plus AU housing deposit)”.  This amount will include a $100 housing deposit. 

5.       Click “Submit,” and proceed to fill in the remaining payment information on the next page. 

The $100 housing deposit will be applied to your total housing bill.  The balance of your housing bill is due, payable by credit card, when you check-in on Sunday, June 17. 

Cancellation policy:  In case of cancellation, the College Avenue Apartment reservation fee will be fully refunded through June 17, 2018.  (The tuition fee, in contrast, is fully refundable only through January 31, 2018.  Thereafter tuition is partially refundable until March 31, 2018.)

Check-in Times:  College Avenue Apartment check-in will be from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 17.  If you need a check-in time after 5 p.m., please arrange by Wed., June 13, by emailing Paul Overland (poverlan@ashland.edu).

Catered lunches are included with tuition for each class day (Monday-Friday of both weeks).

Ashland University’s John C. Myers Convocation award-winning cafeteria offers the following meals daily (pay as you go):  breakfast ($9.00), lunch ($11.20), and dinner ($14.30).  The cafeteria is located in the John C. Myers Convocation Center (building labeled #26 in this AU Campus map), adjacent to the workshop meeting rooms in Amstutz Hall.

Ashland-area restaurants include:  Applebee’s, Bella Bleu’s, Bob Evans, Buffalo Wild Wings, Chipotle, Denny’s, Fiesta Charra, Jake’s Steakhouse, Lyn-Way, Pizza Hut, Shank’s Bar & Grill, Shari’s Café and Pies, and Tim Horton’s.
