Welcome to CMLA!

The Collegiate Middle Level Association (CMLA) is a student association designed to promote and support the professional development of future middle level teachers, as well as the development and nurturing of middle level education programs.  CMLA is an affiliate of National Middle School Association.  If you would like more information about the organization and membership, please send us an email at ncmla@ashland.edu.

News:

Jan. 14, 2004:  Congratulations goes out to Appalachian State University for their excellent job serving as the national host site for CMLA for the past two years.  This year, Ashland University steps up to serve as national host site, and they are eager to help the organization grow even stronger!  Creating a national website for the organization was one of the interests expressed by Ashland during the NMSA convention last November.  As you can see, that interest has become a reality.  Eventually, our goal is to have a forum or other means by which local chapters can communicate and share ideas with each other.  We also plan to have an area for the CMLA newsletters to be posted.  If you would like to see your CMLA website posted in the links section, or if you would like to see other features added, let us know!  Suggestions and comments can be sent to ncmla@ashland.edu.  Please be sure to include your name and school in the email.
