GRANT PROPOSALS

Improving Teacher Quality (Ohio Board of Regents, November 1, 2007): The Teaching of Meaningful Mathematics in Science Using Best Practices is a collaborative effort on the part of Ashland University’s Dwight Schar College of Education and the College of Arts and Sciences with the Mansfield City School District. The modules of the grant are designed to enable the participants to identify and internalize best practices that can be used in the classroom to assist teachers in improving proficiency levels in the low proficient math/science strands in grades 4-8. The total grant request is $99,311 with $10,270 of the amount being an in-kind match.
Federal School Leadership: The proposal was filed in 2002 in coordination with the Columbus City School District to provide an educational administration degree and inservice program for cohorts of aspiring urban school administrators. There were 175 applications with only 20 being funded which did not include our proposal.
