How to Earn Graduate Workshop Credit

To be eligible for graduate workshop credit, your proposal must be accepted and the following criteria met:

  • Register and pay for both days of the Art of the Picture Book Conference.
  • Upon proposal acceptance, a professor from Ashland University will attend your session and sign an approval form.
  • On the first day of the conference, verify your paid registration and submit $150 for the graduate credit.  You will receive a form to use for notes.
  • Take notes on ALL sessions attended.
  • Attend the feedback session scheduled for Saturday, May 13, 2006.  Submit your notes and signed form (for your session) or a plan for submitting your paper.

To be eligible for graduate workshop credit if your proposal was not accepted, the following criteria must be met:

  • Register and pay for both days of the Art of the Picture Book Conference.
  • Write a paper describing a project you could do in your classroom using quality picture books.
  • Have the paper read and approved by an Ashland University professor.

Please note: You may use Ashland University vouchers towards the fee for graduate workshop credit, but not for conference registration fees. You must pay both the two-day conference fees and the graduate credit fee ($150) to receive your 1-hour of graduate workshop credit.
