Why Alpha Phi?

Social:

The Epsilon Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi loves to have fun! Whether it’s a mixer with other Greek chapters or our annual Spring Formal, Alpha Phi provides a great opportunity to meet new people and make memories that will last forever. Here are just a few events that happen throughout the year:

• Annual Food Fight mixer with the brothers of Phi Kappa Psi 
• Mixers with the other Greek chapters on campus
  
• Game/Movie Nights
• Semi-formal and Formal

Sisterhood:

While we love spending time with members of other Greek chapters, some of the best times are spent just hanging out with our sisters. At least once a month we plan a sisterhood which gives us a chance to hang out and have fun with each other. Here are some of the things we have done in the past:

• Monday Night Alpha Phi Dinners
• Phi Fridays (every other Friday we get together and hang out in the suite!) 
• Carved Pumpkins
• Letter Making sisterhood (we made shirts with our letters on them)
• Fluff and Stuff sisterhood (kind of like Build-A-Bear)
  
  
  
  Scholarship:
  
  Although we love to have fun, Alpha Phis are also hardworking and intelligent women. The past two years our GPA was the highest of all the Greek chapters and higher than both the all campus and all female GPA averages.  On Monday nights we have study cafes in the suite, and our director of scholarship is always there if a sister is in need of academic assistance.
  
  Family:
  
  Sisters are important to the Alpha Phis of Ashland University, but we could never forget our families at home. We look forward to Dudes Day and Ladies Day where we invite special dudes and ladies to come and spend the day with us. Whether we invite mom, dad, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, or sisters, these two days give us a chance to share Alpha Phi with our entire families.  This past spring we also hosted our own sibs and kids weekend, and invited our younger sisters, friends, cousins, etc to join in some Alpha Phi fun.
  
  Greek Fun:
  
  One of the best parts about being involved in Greek Life is participating in all the fun activities planned for the entire community. During “New Member Presents” we show off our amazing new sisters with a creative peformance. Greek Week brings a whole week packed with fun competition ranging from obstacle courses to lip syncs.
