Grants

IDEA Grant 

(2002) Emphasis: Exploration of Transition services for secondary students with disabilities and increasing the participation in the general education setting. The grant was written for attending conferences and workshops. $2500.00                      

 

Research Interests

*Exploration of the psychological/sociological dynamic of the disabled child in the family unit. 

*The effect of the student’s disability pertaining to socialization issues, educational learning and transition opportunities.

*Students with disabilities and continuation of post-secondary education and the admissions policies of Technical schools.

*Increasing effective communication between teachers, parents, students and community support personnel at the secondary level.

*A study of Self-Efficacy and High School Students with Specific Learning Disabilities and Diploma Choice.  Dissertation Topic. (Committee Members:  Dr. Kay Allen (chair), Dr. Marcella Kysilka, Dr. Lee Cross, Dr. Timothy Blair, and Dr. Elizabeth Mustaine).
